Andrea Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 My client wants to know what it would take to make his site http://tinyurl.com/4acs8sz work on phones. I think it should work as is, but don't have a phone to test it. Could someone here look and let me know if it does show up decent - or what I would need to do to make work on phones as well. I had another client turn his sites into .mobi, but that seemed like overkill - aka somebody sold him what he already had.

andrewgreenwood247@hotmail Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 Looks the same as it does in IE9.
Andrea Posted March 19, 2011 Author Report Posted March 19, 2011 Thanks for looking, Corinne and Andy - Andy, what kind of phone did you test with?
PicnicTutorials Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 Looks perfect on my iPhone. Whenever I encounter a made for mobile site I immediately change it to the full site. I wouldn't bother. All these newer phones and tablets don't need a dumbed down site. They work better than my XP.
administrator Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 Yep, any newish smartphones will render clean HTML + CSS with no mods required. ... So since I know that's what you do, you should be OK. Also keep in mind that the older phones are irrelevant since anyone surfing the Web with a phone these days, will practically always have a smartphone. Stefan
