  1. Are you using a content management system like Wordpress or something? If so, there may be plugins that will help you get the job done. This one is for Wordpress: http://www.poplarware.com/languageplugin.html .
  2. Welcome, Sue. I completely understand your frustration and we'd love to help. Can you give us a link to your site so we can check it out?
  3. I can't access your page to be sure, but it sounds like you just need to add some padding to that paragraph. You might do something like this: Sentence here. .sentence-border { padding: 0 30px; }
  4. Thanks, Ben. I added that line and am waiting to hear back from her on whether that fixed the issue.
  5. I'll try that. She did send me screenshots, so I know she's not seeing things. I've actually seen these links on my mom's computer, but I have never known what creates them.
  6. My client is reporting strange links showing up in IE 6 on this site. Can you guys check for me? I'm not seeing them... http://tinyurl.com/mlcgdp She is seeing them in the top right corner where the toll free line is. Also, she is seeing them within the page content. Do you see them?
  7. Another question about the accessible pop up! http://accessify.com/tools-and-wizards/accessibility-tools/pop-up-window-generator/default.php I don't understand how to add a "Close this window" link to the pop up. It's discussed here and viewing the source shows this: This is my pop-up (fixed mode) But I don't get it. When using the generator, there's nothing about the close link.
  8. Oh really? I have to use an IE 6 simulator because I'm on Vista and it's not working for me. If it works for you, then maybe I don't have a problem! Can someone else verify this for me?
  9. Here's the page I'm working on: aux ano crea tive.com/ bs si Here's the accessible popup generator I'm using: http://accessify.com/tools-and-wizards/accessibility-tools/pop-up-window-generator/default.php Click on Privacy Policy in the sidebar or on the Online Support button at the top of the page. All is fine in Fx, Opera, Safari, and IE 7. IE 6, however, is not playing nicely. I get a script error and the popup window doesn't show up. Can someone see my mistake? :/
  10. I get a lot of hits on my website from the old forum. Way more than this new one.
  11. Yes, if you placed your myCSS.css file in a folder, you'll have to list the folder name in the link as well. Like this: "folder/myCSS.css". To make things easier while you're learning, I think I would create a general folder for your project and then place both the HTML and CSS inside that folder. That way you don't need to worry about this. You can just link straight to the file. Does that make sense?
  12. I like the new forum, but I do miss having the signatures.
  13. Well, there you have it. I wish I could afford a Mac.
  14. Yeah, I haven't gotten to IE6 yet. I've discovered that on my computer, only IE7 is making the dropdown text ugly. Hover over Our Company and look at the words About Us and Testimonials. Does the text look all jagged to you? Oops - forgot to mention that I was doing some googling earlier and now I think it's a Windows Vista issue. What OS are you on?
  15. http://tinyurl.com/nomq7b Why is that and is there a way to fix it?
  16. I guess that's what I'll have to do. Bummer. It's so weird that this is happening - it's fine on other sites I've done. Oh well!
  17. I'm going crazy trying to figure this out, so I thought I'd post and see if anyone here can take a peek. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/289332?replies=3 This is for a custom Wordpress theme I'm working on. I can do a CC for IE, but I'd rather find the problem instead. Anyone see my mistake?
  18. Well, I would put it here: <?php bloginfo('name');?> <?php bloginfo('description');?> <?php wp_list_pages('title_li=');?> And then you'll have to do some CSS work on the blog name/description to either display them on top of your header image or to hide them behind it.
  19. The header is just inserted with XHTML and CSS. There's no special trick. And usually, it goes in the header.php file. If you still need help, maybe you could post the code you have so far or a link to your page?
  20. I have a Blackberry Curve and I use the browser that is supplied with it. It does not translate websites very well, but the .mobi sites work great. I check Fox News and a local news channel everyday and they're both the .mobi versions of their sites. Basically, they are stripped of all styling and they give me a list of links to articles. Pretty straightforward. I like it. I would love an iPhone, but I have to use Verizon and as I'm sure you know, they do not have it. Anyway, when I visit sites like this one (KS) and others, I get frustrated because I have to scroll down through a bunch of styled divs just to get to the content.
  21. Hey there Shelley, It's good to hear from you! I'm glad you're improving and I hope you'll be back to 100% before you know it.
