linton Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 Just wondering, what happens when online newspapers or sites such as the BBC, Washington Post, NY Times etc update their sites and change stories? I am inclined to believe they archive them since one can always get back to those pages. Will appreciate a deeper insight on this. Quote
falkencreative Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 They aren't really "changing stories" (removing one and adding a new one) but simply adding additional stories to the website, and (depending on how the site is designed) only the newest stories will show on the home page. I wouldn't call the old stories "archived", just not easily available from the home page, or only available through a web search or a search for that topic on the news website itself. Quote
falkencreative Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 It's basically the same way that Wordpress works. You might try setting up a test Wordpress install, putting a free news theme in place and experiment. Quote
