Setting Up a Clients Host.

Hello,

 

I am not sure how to set up a host for a client web site. I need to register the domain name, then select a host. It seems difficult to set up a client for a host without all their detailed information.

 

Is there a way to set all this up yourself without the client and have them send you money each month for the host services?? I am sure I have everyone confused at this point.

 

How do you all go through the process of setting up a client??

That's called resale hosting. You host all clients, and client pays you. If you don't want to deal with that, then just pick the hosts, have the client pay them (or client gives you there credit card number and you do it all), then you handle it all from there.

Personally, I ask my clients to sign up for the accounts themselves. That way I'm not dealing with their cc info and they have complete control over the accounts should they decide to use someone else's services in the future. It's just easier.

Find a Hosting Service that will treat the account as a referral and pick up 10 or 15 % of the invoice towards your own service. :cool:
