DWither Posted June 14, 2013 Report Posted June 14, 2013 I am very much interested in web design and development. I've been using code academy for the past few weeks . Upon more searching I'm finding a lot more sites like code school, lyinda and treehouse . My questions is would I be better off with one of those other sites . From what I read some of then are more for advanced users and something like academy is more for starting off. I'm also reading HTML and CSS by Jon Duckett witch is great . Are there anther books you could suggest Quote
Andrea Posted June 14, 2013 Report Posted June 14, 2013 I don't know anything about the code academy, but I'd think everybody has beginners and also more advanced classes. Killersites also offers fabulous tutorial - video and otherwise. There are several free ones you can look at to give you the idea, and then different options on what to sign up for. http://www.killersites.com/video-library/'>http://www.killersites.com/video-library/ http://www.killervideostore.com/ http://www.killersites.com/ Quote
falkencreative Posted June 14, 2013 Report Posted June 14, 2013 Killersites does offer an interactive learning experience as well: http://killersitesuniversity.com/ Also, my impression is that Treehouse is aimed more at beginners (http://teamtreehouse.com/) though it costs more per month. Quote
grabenair Posted June 15, 2013 Report Posted June 15, 2013 I looked at code academy before to see what it was and personally I do not like it. Check out this site it is where we all go to from time to time http://www.w3schools.com/default.asp Quote
Jmarton1 Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 I will suggest you to go w3school and take help form there, a good resource for learning. Quote
