Can't find the source of extra padding in IE.

I'm going crazy trying to figure this out, so I thought I'd post and see if anyone here can take a peek.

This is for a custom Wordpress theme I'm working on. I can do a CC for IE, but I'd rather find the problem instead. Anyone see my mistake?

The IE browser simply does not play according to the rules ... and the solution is to use the conditional comments.

I guess that's what I'll have to do. Bummer. It's so weird that this is happening - it's fine on other sites I've done. Oh well! :cool:

After failed IE6, IE7 and IE8 one would hope that Microsoft would just give up and accept that they can't make a compliant browser .... after 10 years of trying please just give up Microsoft!
