administrator Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Hi, I just finished up editing and rendering a bunch of 1080pi video segments ranging from 3-5 minutes each. I decided to be adventurous and use my new Macbook Air with Finalcut Pro ... and I have to say, it works really well. ... Given the fact that the Mac AIr is designed for portability and not speed, video editing and rendering was pretty zippy. Much faster than on my old Macbook pro - about 18 months old. For the record, I have a 2.13 gHz Mac Air and 4 gigs of ram with the SSD drive. BTW, once you go SSD, you'll never go back. The point is, if you ever get into video and you think you may need a huge desktop computer - think again, a laptop with an SSD drive may do the trick for you. Stefan
