You mentioned Java is slower than PHP but if that's the case then why do Android rely on Java and not PHP?

Hi,

To write native Android apps, you have to use Java. You can't with PHP.

Java is slower to write in, but at runtime, Java I believe still runs faster. But I haven't checked in years and PHP 7 is a major speed increase over the previous versions of PHP.
