ashtynm Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Hi, I learned HTML a long time ago and touched a little on CSS. Now, I am trying to jump back into it and I'm working on designing a webpage, and I need some guidance! I really like the part of the killersites webpage (http://www.killersites.com/) where there is a list of topics, and when you click on one of the topics a little description comes up to the right. It reminds me of frames (which I learned back in the day), but it looks better. I was wondering if this is using CSS or what? Where could I learn how to do this on the webpage I am working on? Thanks! -Ashtyn
falkencreative Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 I'm guessing you are meaning the "Featured video tutorials" section, right? That is done with a little bit of jquery (javascript.) Basically, when an item is clicked on, the correct content div appears, while the rest disappear.
ashtynm Posted August 6, 2009 Author Report Posted August 6, 2009 Yes, exactly! Thanks, I'll look into some javascript tutorials.
falkencreative Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 This tutorial may help... it shows you how to build something similar. http://jqueryfordesigners.com/jquery-tabs/
