Kenny Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 (edited) In dream weaver cs4 when you first start building a site you have the option to use Fixed,Elastic,Liquid, or Hybrid I have looked over all the documentation and understand a little about what each one does, but don't understand which one I should I use and what or the pluses and minuses of each one. Any input will be thanked. Edited July 17, 2009 by Kenny

PicnicTutorials Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Kenny, I think everyone starting out asks themselves this question. You'll flirt with each, and most likely, as I have and most others, end up just making all your sites a fixed width - it's a hell of a lot easier.
joomlavideos Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 I agree with Eric. Fluid, elastic, call them what you will, effect the layout based on browser width. You are in control with fixed width. I am also a fan of centered fixed with as left aligned sites leave a massive right gutter, a seemingly imbalanced appearance. Just my 2 cents. HTH
