I typed all text on Notepad and saved as .txt after that I saved the same document as.html but the meta tag appears (displayed) at the top of the browser page.What is meta tag. how can i remove it from the browser window? falkencreative Posted January 3, 2011 Report Share Posted January 3, 2011 I would suggest taking a look at the instructions here: http://www.killersites.com/community/index.php?/topic/3010-cant-open-my-website/page__gopid__16509entry16509 My guess is that your file is actually named filename.html.txt, which a browser will interpret as a text file rather than an HTML file.
