administrator
Hi, This actually comes up from time to time .. so here is the answer: 1. Actionscript 2 is used in older versions of Flash. It is easier to learn but is limited when compared to AS3. 2. Actionscript 3 came out with the Flash CS4 release ... it is totally OO and strongly-typed. This basically means that you have to understand programming much more thoroughly and the Actionscript itself is much more verbose ... but it runs faster. Conclusion: If you are using a pre Flash CS4 version, then AS2 is the answer. If you want to take full advantage of Flash though, you will need to learn AS3.
