Mo
at a certain point paypalshoppingcart video:paypal-3-building-an-xml-catalog.mov shows in browser on localhost:8080 some folders like html from where the catalog.xml can be shown. using mamp and eclipse apache is on 8888 so when I try to watch localhost:8888 I get Index of / Name Last modified Size Description Apache/2.0.59 (Unix) PHP/5.1.6 DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.0.59 OpenSSL/0.9.7l Server at localhost Port 8888 What should I've done differently to get my catalog.xml in the browser like in the video BTW I'm a newbie
falkencreative
Where are your files being stored? For MAMP to be able to access your files, they will need to be within Applications > MAMP > htdocs.
Mo
My files are stored in Users>video>sites just like in the tutorial video, but I will store them in Applications > MAMP > htdocs. like you said and see what it will bring. THANX!
falkencreative
I haven't watched the videos, so I can't say for sure... but it's possible that the person creating the course wasn't using MAMP (sorry, can't think of his name at the moment), but using the OSX's default installation of PHP, which would mean that the files needed to be put in a different location. Try out putting the files in Applications > Mamp > htdocs, and let me know if you run into anything else.
Mo
I've put my files in Applications > MAMP > htdocs, and now it works like it's supposed to THANX again.
