html not seeing css

Are you viewing the files locally or online? If online, make sure both files are uploaded.

 

Verify the spelling of your file name - it's case sensitive.

 

Make sure your computer isn't adding a hidden .txt after your style.css - http://www.killersites.com/forums/post/5560/#p5560

i am working offline but indeed found a .txt after .css

i'm using firefox with vista and trying to find "Hide extensions for known file types" option to switch it off.
