Guest foodin65
Hello All, This is my first post here. I'm not actually sure that you guys do Wordpress Help or not... here's hopin'! I've searched all over google and WP Forums and I've not really found an answer. I want to know how to code a dynamic list as a Wordpress Template. I have four different list that I want to make. 1st List - 5 most viewed and/or commented posts from the last X# of days 2nd list - 5 most viewded and/or commented posts for all time. 3rd list - Top X# of commentors listed in decending order from most # of comment to least. 4th list - 5 most recent comentors listed in order front most recent to least recent. W/ link to post and portion of comment text. I would like to make template files out of each of these so I can call and style them in various places in my template. Thanks so much for you help! falkencreative
In regards to most viewed posts, I don't think you are going to be able to get something like that out of the box. There is a WP plugin that displays post views, which you probably could use for this: http://lesterchan.net/wordpress/readme/wp-postviews.html For most commented posts: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/most-commented/ http://www.blogohblog.com/10-wordpress-hacks-to-make-your-life-easy/ Top commenters: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/top-commentators-widget/ "4th list - 5 most recent comentors listed in order front most recent to least recent. W/ link to post and portion of comment text." I'm not sure if this is something you can do easily. Probably would require some PHP coding and hacking the top commenters plugin above.
