Guest photoman
Hi there, I am relatively new to all this web design stuff so bear with me. First of all, after much deliberation, I have decided to use Dreamweaver, instead of Flash, as the foundation of my site. Apparently Google, and other such search engines, still have trouble indexing Flash sites. However, I have designed a dropdown button menu bar in flash which I want to place inside its respective div, in Dreamweaver. So here's the thing. Seeing as there is going to be a fair amount of flash inside my site, how do I use a preloader in Dreamweaver, to load up my flash content located inside my main index page. My friends site: works in this way. But, if I'm not mistaken, this site has been made entirely with Flash.(?) I find this puzzling because the site moves to fit the browser. As I understand it, websites that are are made entirely from flash cannot move inside a brower, much the same way that an AP div works in Dreamweaver. Is this correct?. If not, how is this achieved. Many thanks!,, photoman Edited June 8, 2009 by photoman
administrator
Anything you want to do in the Flash movie has to be done in Flash. All that Dreamweaver can do is place it on the page. You need to learn more about the basics of web design and Flash.
virtual
Whichever platform you choose you need to learn how to code - HTML and CSS for DW or ActionScript 3 for Flash.
