  1. Hi there not sure this is worth even mentioning it.... but here it goes... being a newbie and just started learning html css and javascript.... now learning how to master wordpress seems a step backwards since not coding is needed... just sharing the feeling... so now i've decided i'm deep into php dev and wp dev in order to take advantage of my earlier studies and keep learning and using full stack skills... the only to escape is forward into development of wp does this make any sense to you?
  2. I have touched on this before friends, this is an important issue, there is a tremendous shortage of qualified cybersecurity professionals out there. Do you own look-up on Google and Co., the Air Force and the Air Force Association consider it a matter of National Security! This is just one article, so find your own. The US here, but really whatever nation you are from is likely to be facing the same shortage worldwide, needs people, especially school age kids to be looking at cybersecurity jobs for their future. As the article points out as well, EVERY IT job is now a cybersecurity job. You built an app you have to consider security. You build a website, you have to think security, because especially those of you doing freelance work, your customers are likely not doing it, breaches happen to other people. I used to do Freelance work... so many companies and software now build web sites for people cheaper than we can. Seriously consider making the move into cybersecurity, the jobs are out there, abundant, and international. And if you are not interested, talk to your kids or youth that you know. Show them programs like CyberPatriot. Especially girls, there are few to many in this career path. Hackers are not going away, more Nation-States are developing Cyber-attacks against their enemies. You know someone considering the Military? Every branch has cyber specialist fields now, from front-line troops needing protection for their communications to the premiere Cyber Warriors of the US Air Force protecting UAVs (drones), military communications and space born satellites. Not to mention NSA, CIA and other alphabet agencies from other countries. The field is wide open to those of you willing to give it a shot. 3. Hey everyone! My name is Natan and I live in Ottawa, ON. I'm interested in web development and probably doing some more exploring in programming languages later on. I'm trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together and get the big picture about HTML, CSS, JAVA and other things but I don't have the will to do such information gathering on the internet because a lot of the websites are overcrowded with things not important and they always take the long route of explaining the simplest things or they don't explain important things correctly. I don't like to just follow rules when someone says, for example, press ONE. I need to know why I'm doing it, what effect it has exactly, if there is a more simple way to do it or if I can make my own way in anything. As soon as I sit in front of my laptop and open Brackets ( text editor ), I just get bored after just 10 minutes and can't get myself to be interested in all of it, the idea of learning, in other words, I just become lazy. When I'm away from my laptop, being outside or doing something else completely, I love the idea of me sitting, writing code and being a nerd but it doesn't work since I need it to be interesting and faster. I've discovered that in order to be able to do anything productive on the laptop, I need to play fast-paced music in the background to make it more interesting and get myself to do things. I get all these super crazy ideas about apps, websites and more but with the friends I have, they always look not interested in talking much about it and exploring, dismissing them and telling me the things that wouldn't work and not ever mentioning the things that would. Talking about how people see only bad and not good, haha. My question to you is what makes you want to develop apps, websites and other things, what drives you to do so? Anyone have any tips or something? I find it better if I work in a team to solve problems and pretty much do anything. I'm a team player. Anyone in Ottawa that feels the same and wants to team up and maybe and make something in the future, like an app or a website. A mentor would be nice also.
