Password protected pages

I am a photographer, new to web design (and all that goes with it), and in the process of creating a membership site that has password protected pages. It has a Sign-in page and pages that only allow access to members who are signed-in.

 

I have created a membership database with username and password and I am using Dreamweaver CS5.5 Behaviors to create the code. I am having problems with both sign-in and verification are there any known problems or is there anything to be aware of in using Behaviors?

 

I know one answer is don't start from here, but I am where I am.

This post sounds very familiar from a client I have about a photography website some 3-4 years ago. I asked more questions about what she was trying to do and found that she was way in over her head. So I suggested to her a program called Photo Cart. Maybe this is something you are trying achieve? If not, then you might want to provide a bit more info along with code you have now.
