Wondering if someone can help figure out the problem?

I recently downloaded a Wordpress Theme which was in CSS format. I really like this theme but in setting up my blog I tried to make my first post and there are a couple of problems.

 

1. The post runs off the bottom of the block.

 

2. The picture I attach to the post shows in this block as a thumbnail (which I like) but it ALSO comes through with the text of the post and in a much larger size. It shouldn't accompany the post on the home page.

 

3. I want the post to appear on the home page in short form with the "read more" button to continue reading article.

 

4. I would also like to change the font and font size on the pages and the posts - and don't know how to do that.

 

I am attaching a copy of the stylesheet (style css) hoping someone can help me to correct the problems. I am very new to programing and I have studied this code but am at a loss on how to make these changes.

 

I appreciate any help someone has to offer.
