snooker2009
I am looking for a software that will stop people useing my images on a web site (images are in Flash, and people can use print Screen to copy them) I have this online tonight... http://www.copysafe.net/copysafe_web.asp CopySafe Web is secure from all saving and copying techniques including Printscreen and all screen capture software. What do you think.... or any other web software that can protect images online? Michael It can be used in all web projects including online catalogues, galleries, surveys, e-commerce and banking. It can be used on any web site on any type of web server with any database. Create swap image, hyperlink or slideshow. Create new protected pages or protect existing web pages. Deliver on the fly using ASP, CFM, CGI, PHP, etc. CopySafe Web can copy protect any media viewed with a web browser including images (JPG, GIF, PNG, TIF), html, Flash, applets, animations, etc. * Copy protect images * Copy protect web pages and html * Copy protect Flash animations * Copy protect database results * Copy protect all content delivered on the fly
falkencreative
I really don't think that there is a way to effectively prevent people from copying anything that is freely available online. If your images are precious enough that you can't have the risk that people might do a print screen and potentially have a low resolution copy of the image, they don't belong online. If their demo pages are any indication ( http://www.artistscope.com/copysafe_web_demo_static_image.asp?t=847511964 / http://www.artistscope.com/copysafe_web_demo_text_image.asp?t=847511964) I wouldn't use the software. I have no trouble doing a print screen using screen capture software on the images in the demo pages. Besides, this solution requires every user to download a plugin for their browser just in order to see the images. That will most likely turn away a large number of potential viewers, either who aren't technically knowledgeable enough to understand how to download plugins, or those who would prefer not to install unnecessary plugins on their computer. It just puts a bad taste in my mouth -- as a potential viewer, I wouldn't return to the website.
