Background Image Problem

Recommended Posts

What im trying to get is:

body {

    background-image: url("images/witewall.png");

    background-repeat: repeat;

}

I want the background image to show and repeat over the whole page of the body element.

I havent been able to get it to show so far? Is there something i'm missing?

Once i added ../images/witewall.png i got the image to show up. I was thinking i didn't need the ../ for the file path since it was located in the images folder? So anytime you go up a level in paths do you have to include the ../ before the files path?

Thanks for the help.

a path of "images/image.jpg" is relative to the HTML page that you are viewing. So if you're viewing an HTML page and using that path, the web browser expects the images folder to be in the same folder as the HTML file.
