JhottelM
Hello, I had my graphics designer design a logo for me and of course our software doesn't match so I'm having all kids of issues between a Mac and Windows set up. But right now my source of frustration is the size of the logo and that I can't get it to be re-sized. In general how big in terms of KBs and pixels can images be for the web? Any comments are much appreciated. Thanks in Advance!
Wickham
Try this website which gives advice on how big your page is in KB and what each part comprises and whether any part is too large. http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/ I think it's very cautious, probably intended to allow for people still on dial-up. Personally if you only have one image on a page I think it can be 50 to 100KB, perhaps max 70KB on the first page people visit, but if you have a link to another page within your website which people expect to have images, say a photo gallery, then I think you can go up to about 300KB for the whole page, assuming that your viewers will have broadband. Use Irfanview free image program http://www.irfanview.com/ Edited June 10, 2009 by Wickham
