Woops - my previous reply was about the Sean Moloney site referenced above. Websitecodetutorials is really well laid out. I've used it several times already. I don't see anything that needs changing there!

The site has a nice feel. It's clean and well designed but not too slick looking. Spent some time looking around and the navigation is easy and logical. I love Irish traditional music - hoping to get back to Galway before too long. Slan!

I think that looks great. It's totally obvious how to find the information you need - nothing unnecessary getting in the way. It's esthetically great because there are no ads, but I have to wonder how you can make any money. Nice job though.

Followup question: My wife has a blogger blog that I would really like to have her move to Wordpress or any CMS really on a hosting platform that we control. Her blog has good traffic and 350+ pages. From researching it seems to me like transferring the blogger blog over without any SEO impact is gonna be hard, if not impossible. Can you offer any advice on how to do this? Thanks!

But if I take tags out of alot of old posts and insert a newer, simpler system of tags, won't there still be lots of 404s generated by the old tags? Thanks for helping out.

I have a wordpress blog that i had put way too many tags and categories into and I used a plugin called Term Management to merge them. But now I'm seeing several hundred 404 messages in my Webmaster account that all appear to be for the pages these tags and categories used to generate but now no longer exist. Is this a big problem for me with Google and is there any way to fix it. I did this several months ago but 404s are still happening regularly. Thanks!
