Hey, I am making a smaller sized independent news website. I want to have user accounts, and have these users be able to post news and articles. I also want a forum. Any advice on some good open source software (excluding a CMS) that I could use, or maybe some references? Thanks a bunch, David

Hey, I am building my first site with a forum. I have a decent site build, and I want to integrate the forum into the site. I was checking out phpbb. My question then is can I use phpbb to just add on a forum to my site and tweak the style to match, or is it more of a content management system. If I can use it to just throw in a forum, is there a good resource anyone knows of that could teach me how? Thanks
