Changing Link Colors in a Dreamweaver Template

Thanks for the help... it still does not seem to work.... maybe I should just forget about using templates. -
I have set my link colors in my Dreamweaver template, however I want my front page to have different link colors, when I try to change the link color in the Page Properties it will not allow me to do so.... it refers me back to my template however I don't want to change the link colors on my other pages... any ideas?
