  1. Hello Andrea, Hands slapped! The logo is an image. I altered the alignment when it was text and this was ok but now it is an actual image I need to change the alignment in .imageholder but not too sure how. I tried altering the float but I guess this is not the ideal way plus how do I add padding to it? Thank you, Best wishes Graeme
  2. Hello Again, I'm bugged again. I wouldlike the image with the company name to be centred and a little padding around so it's not exactly against any side, I tried to alter the float in the css but there is no centre. Help!! http://www.btinternet.com/~gj.d/ian/ Best wishes Graeme
  3. Hello Again, I've stumbled across another query. I would like the name at the top to be in red, I altered the #logo h2 { text-align: center; font-size: 1.8em; color: #FF0000; } but it still shows in the old colour. I'm guessing that because it is a link I need to alter someting else but not too sure what. Thank you Best wishes Graeme
  4. Thanks Andrea, I'll give it a go. Best wishes Graeme

Is there anything available to set up an online booking page or is it specialist developer stuff? 14. Hi Andrea, So whre do I put the /> in <div id="body"> <div class="story"> <h2>1st build</h2><br> <p>Every company requires to consistently attract new customers as well as new business in order to reach its ultimate potential. This is where a press ad design can help you. However with businesses frequently advertising within inches of each other in selected publications, it is quite possible that your ad may be easily overlooked. <br /> </div> Thank you, Best wishes Graeme
  15. Hello, But it looks like the <br> is an opening tag! Best wishes Graeme
  16. Hello, Thank you for all this. I'm trying to experiment with the CSS as you suggest, it's a great way to learn. I Validate the page and it's great to see only one error as I set it up, the only ting is I don't understand the error! It reads Line 32, Column 25: end tag for "br" omitted, but OMITTAG NO was specified <h2>1st build</h2><br>✉ You may have neglected to close an element, or perhaps you meant to "self-close" an element, that is, ending it with "/>" instead of ">". Line 32, Column 21: start tag was here <h2>1st build</h2><br> Thank you, Best wishes Graeme
  17. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. So should I add the size of the font etc into the body div? Best wishes Graeme
  18. Hello Friends, Thank you so much. I've just had another lesson in CSS! Should I alter the body or the body. story? Where does the Font Size: 13px come from? Thanks again, Best wishes Graeme
  19. Woops, Temp URL is http://www.btinternet.com/~gj.d/bits/index.html Thank you [#uote name=Graeme' date='14 August 2010 - 11:15 PM' timestamp='1281824125' post='18753] Hello All, I came across a template and I'm busy trying to adapt it. I've basically altered most things to suit but there are some I just don't understand! I can't seem to alter the text colour in div.story and there is a thick black line that shows up in img above the menu. I know the background of img is black but even if I alter the border it shows in Firefox but not in IE. Other than that I'm really pleased. (just when you start to think you are getting to grips with CSS!). Thank you as always, Best wishes Graeme

  21. Thank you, I will take all your advice on board. Can I just ask, what do you mean by 'A hover effect would be good' and 'The navigation drop down boxes aren't perfectly aligned' Thanks, Best wishes Graeme
  22. Hello Again, I've been playing around and I think I might have got it, accidently! Thank you Best wishes Graeme
  23. Hello All, I'm quite pleased with the way a page is looking except that the banner on my page overlaps the body a little too much to the right. I tried re-sizing but I just can't seem to get it right. Please have a look at www.standrews-chiltonmoor.org.uk See how the banner just say overlaps to the right? Many thanks as always, best wishes Graeme
  24. Hello, When you say use a path from the page location, could you explain please? Thank you, Best wishes Graeme
