  1. I recently rebuild a website for a local homeless shelter. I'm not aware of any set methodology, I simply looked at the old site, mainly content and navigation, and build the new site trying to optimize both. For example, the old site had a page called gallery with photo albums of events and another one called 'past events' which also had photo albums of different events. Now there is just one page for this stuff.

    I did first create a draft version of the new site and stayed in constant communication with the guy in charge to make sure I stayed within the organization's expectations/needs, etc. Not sure if this really helps you, but overall, I find common sense and a practical approach can go a long way.

  2. I just have a few grammar suggestions:

    Web Development: Since From a young age, I have ....

    Skills: I have knowledge in responsive web design with experience in:
    HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootsrap, Node.js, Python, AJAX, Angular, Visual Basic and am learning more every day!  (or ..., Visual Basic, and I am learning more every day!)

    As to Athletics and Hobbies - Is the site about you, or is is there to get you web development work? If it's you - then fine, but if it's there to get you work, I don't see how any of that is relevant at all. If I'm looking for a plumber, I want one who does good work, and I couldn't care less if in his spare time, he's bird-watching or under-water-basket weaving.

    And from the 'Need a Website?" part:

    If you need a website that looks great on all screen sizes, you've you have come to the right place. I work with a small team of developers, and we would love to get you started. We aim to make the process as easy for you as possible, leaving the work to us while keeping you posted every step of the way. We aim to make the process as easy for you as possible. Leave the work to us, and we will keep you posted every step of the way. Our goal is to make your dream site come to life, and we wont will not stop until you agree! Get in touch with me (see below), and we can discuss the details.

    None of this is a big deal, and most people probably won't notice, but grammar nazis like I am, will :-)

  3. Another thought - I briefly tested the form and upon hitting submit, I get a Page not Found. What are your form settings as to what is to happen when someone submits? Usually, it'll be a 'Thank You' or 'Your form has been submitted' or something like that. Is that particular file missing?

  4. I just now see this.

    Case in Point - I used to live on this forum, but it's been so dead for so long, I only check in every now and then.

    It's been great while it lasted.

    Bye everyone!!

    Stef - we don't have a crying smiley-face, but probably no sense in worrying about that now :-(

  5. Darn, and I've had my Flash 4 Bible on my shelf for all those years knowing the day would come that I would find time to read it.....

    Just another great example of why sometimes, procrastination does pay off............

  6. HA! Found the jibberish in my functions.php. For now, I just put my original back, and it's clean at the moment. I have a lot of other stuff going on right now, not much time to play, but I'll see if the junk comes back.

    Thank you both!!

  7. This is too weird - I have not been to my own website in a while -- www.aandbwebdesign.com (Wordpress) - but clicked on it yesterday for no good reason and noticed i the upper a link to a site. It was late, I didn't want to deal with it.

    Today, when I look at the page with Firefox, I do not see it, but I see it when I view the page in IE and Opera. when I then look at the code, I find

    </head>
    <body>
    <div id="fb-root"> <a href="http://bboyfactory.com/side-effect-of--50/">side effect of  50</a>
     </div>

    When I look at it in Firefox, all I see is:

    </head>
    <body>
    <div id="fb-root"></div>

    I've created a copy of all the online files onto my computer, and have run a search for fb-root and --- but I find NOTHING!!!

    I'm at a loss right now how else I might be able to find how this link got on my site....
