Guest pillsbury
not sure what's going on here...i'm pretty much done with my first site (thanks to the helpful advice on this site). i've been testing it out exclusively on firefox and safari. however, the gallery is a javascript gallery, and the thumbnails are a bit off. any help? if anyone knew of a different type of image gallery that would work with my site, that would be cool also. my site also looks pretty plain, so i was thinking of centering, adding a drop shadow, similiar to this site: www.vitaminliving.com. any ideas on how i can recreate this? here is my site: www.timyuenportfolio.com Edited February 11, 2009 by pillsbury
lm
to recreate a look from example you gave: take CSS template, for example from webshapes and edit it to your likings. If you need image gallery( or thinking about adding other features and not really into coding, consider using CMS ( such as Wordpress) for your website. Wordpress ( or any other CMS) has a broad choice of templates( on the same webshapes website there also Wordpress templates), plugins ( photogalleries among them), blog and so on.
