Problems with jquery slider

I want to add a jquery Coda slider 2.0 to a website, but when I add it the code breaks. It seem to effect the css. I tried isolating it, but without success. This is my first time using jquery. I want the slider to replace the 2nd paragraph that includes the Steeda logo.
