virtual Posted November 23, 2009 Report Share Posted November 23, 2009 Yeah but unfortunately for us, it means the end user has to download and install the plug in, and if they don't because MS tells them it's dangerous then we will still have to cater for IE6 and its mess. I realise that if like Chrome, the IE6 user would have to download the frame to benefit, but it might be useful to IE6 users who for some reason don't want to upgrade to IE8 (inadequate PC performance). I don't think the meta tag to use IE7 instead of IE8 in IE8 is the same because that is inbuilt into IE8. Supposidly, the driving force behind Chrome Frame, is to make the web a better place. So, Chrome should have no problem with that. They made the code open source I think. Ie should adopt.
