[expandable summery for blog.com]

i am working on my blog and i want to show only couple of sentences of each of my post.the rest hide behind the "read more" or i guess you call it expandable summery. i found couple answers online but all very confusing and i am new to blog, is there a css code that i simply type into the page?. please help

i am new to blog and css (i set up a simple website already though) and need a help on expandable post summery or read more... css code. please help i have no idea how, do i need to download the entire wp template if yes how. i know there are lot of you know, please make a video for it, please please!
