Sometimes browsers can make things look different, but if text is bold in one browser and not in another, then it's just a simple code issue and should be an easy fix.

Make sure to specify in Google's webmaster tools whether you want your site to be www. or no www.
Plus make sure a canonical tag is in all your pages to tell the search engines your preferred method.
The last thing to prevent this is to do a 301 permanent redirect with your .htaccess file. This way if someone goes to your site with no www. it would automatically add it for you.

Thanks for the pdf file on fonts. I really didn't know the difference between between them all, but now I definitely have a better understanding.
I think I like Sans Serif the best.
