Yes, you need to upload them to your server, and then update the SRC of the image to point to the image on the server, rather than the local image on your computer.

 

So if I make a folder in my documents called "gallery" and then make a "gallery folder on my server, I can just enter the image.jpg?

I'm trying to get pictures on my site. The pictures in my first page are currently stored on my machine, and in the HTML code it shows the path to these photos in my machine. How do I get these photos on the site? Do I have to upload them to my server?

Hello,

 

I have an html code saved on my desktop and then uploaded it to www.freehostia.com. All I see on my domain is an index of the files i've uploaded. I can see the html file I uploaded, and it shows my site when you click it, it just doesn't automatically show when you originally go to the site. What have I done wrong?
