  1. You guys are SOO COOL! Thanks! Alfie
  2. Santolaya The forum IS open to all, don't misunderstand. What LSW meant to point out is that you jumped into someone else's post rather than starting a new one. No big harm done and welcome to the forum. By all means check out the killersites tutorials in the link above. They take you by the nose and leads you around the mysteries of HTML and CSS. Good luck! Alfie
  3. I was perusing the HTML of a web template (By xyz.), when I noticed the attribute title="xyz". It had a class as well as being within an a href statement. This is a new one to me. What does it do? :/ Alfie
  4. Second that recommendation! Shelfimage suggested the same thing to me a few years ago and it saved my "setter-downer" many a time until such time I could afford an (old) version of PhotoShop.
  5. Fantastic fix Eric. Many thanks! But, can you or anyone explain why that works? I fixed the thing myself by using negative margins and relative positioning and stuff, but that seems so darn awkward! see http://www.plainvanillagraphics.com/Kats1/index.html See what I mean? Alfie
  6. I'm embarrassed to even post this, because it should be so darn simple. I'm scratching a bald spot on my scalp! Have a look http://www.plainvanillagraphics.com/Kats/index.html I (obviously!) want the text "Kat's Family Hair Care" to appear up in the banner next to the logo. I have "floated" and "cleared" made new div's but it just sits down there like a dog turd! Help? Alfie
  7. Listen to these replies! These are serious and experienced people. Their answers are your path to understanding the rigmaroles of HTML and CSS, which is the only way to go in web development. I was a total NOOB a few years ago. Now I am an educated NOOB, and I am empowered by having been a member in here. ANY serious questions in this forum are treated seriously, and you will receive a serious answer. Good luck! Alfie
