Actionscript 3 Evolution Video Tutorial

I’ve just released a great new Actionscript video tutorial (by our resident Flash-nerd Santo Romano) that covers a couple of things:

  • The differences between Actionscript 1, 2 and 3.
  • How to bind Actionscript to a button.

Though (in this video) you learn about binding Actionscript to buttons, the main goal is to show you the differences between the different versions of Actionscript (using a simple to understand button example) while showing the advantages of Actionscript 3.0.

Check it out:

I hope you find it useful.

I really like this tutorial. I have worked with AS1 and AS2 and found myself wondering why relearn something seemingly more complex for the same result. You have brought it into perspective. Thank you for your down to earth explainations.

  8. No problem.

Yea, I especially like that video too.
