10wt308
Hopefully I can ask this clearly. Suppose you have a mysql database to keep your inventory and a simple form page to enter the data. Would it be better to make the db_connection to insert the data for each item when you hit submit or load an xml file with all the items and then make one connection to write the xml file to the db. Thanks Tom
administrator
MySQL server connections are expensive in terms of resources, you want to open them as little as possible. .. So make one connection. Stefan
10wt308
That is what I was thinking. Would that be the proper use of an XML file or would you load up an array. What would be more efficient? Thanks for your answer Tom
