administrator
Hi, Why do you need to install MySQL? If you are installing locally for development reasons, just use WAMP or MAMP and away you go. If you think about it practically, unless you want to start running your own web servers, there is no point whatsoever in installing MySQL or learning to install it. Believe me, I used to do it all the time (manually) and it is frankly a useless skill set that I have. Besides, even if you wanted to run your own web servers, with modern control panels like WHM or Plesk .... these popular products take care of the MySQL installation and everything else for you! Hope that helps, Stefan
