Hi there,

I've come up with a bit of a problem, I've noticed an enquiry page that is using both .asp and .php? I've never heard of this myself and also the form does not work properly!

Can anyone help by advising if this is standard practice and if so what are the pro's and cons of using 2 programming languages.

Many thanks in advance, I'm truly confused!!:/

Your question is unclear; are you saying one page is a .asp and another is a .php?

Regardless, you should avoid using multiple server-side languages (PHP, Coldfusion, ASP, Ruby etc ..) in the context of one site. We have it here, simply because killersites.com has been around a while and years ago, I was a big fan of Java and so I used JSP pages. Now though, all the new stuff is in PHP.

For typical websites, you will see the use of one server-side language along with Javascript for the AJAX stuff.
