Saoir
Hi all, I am hoping to get a bit of a hand with this amateur group site. I hope I am in the right place to post this. I used to do a lot of web stuff with Dreamweaver about ten years ago, designing basic sites for clients. I could drop in javascripts, and other modules, and achieve good design, with some good knowledge of html - but never became an 'advanced' commercial designer. Now I have forgotten a lot of it but still have Dreamweaver, can use it, but not all of the resources I used to have on file. I am a regular at a small old city pub where a group of us play and sing - a group that has been on the go for a decade or more - and I have a web site for the pub with some photos. What I would like to do is have an IMAGES page for the pub, with a thumbnail ribbon ? is that what it is called ? a ribbon across the top of the screen (or bottom) made up of a series of thumbs, where mousing over them (or clicking) brings the full image into view filling the rest of the page. And where the ribbon can be moved left or right by clicking on the ends to show additional thumbs... OR if someone has a better variation of this ? I am hoping someone might help me find a fairly easy to drop in script where I can then work on the individual htm files and images etc etc. Thanks in advance ! falkencreative
I'm not sure if you will find one that is exactly what you are looking for -- it may require some customization. That said, here are a couple options for a script that shows a large image followed by a list of smaller thumbnail images to choose from: http://coffeescripter.com/code/ad-gallery/#ad-image-0 http://www.twospy.com/galleriffic/index.html http://galleria.io/ (look at the "classic" theme: http://galleria.io/themes/classic/)
