M3U files and playlists for my site

Recommended Posts

Hi All

Thanks for the help with my last topic.

I now have a new problem. I want to add some songs to my website (in a player ) tracks 1 - 4.

I googled and found some info that reffered to a M3U txt file.

I did this and then copied the html code which was supplied changing the info from their playlist to my playlist. All seemed easy enough, BUT it won't work. Ended up removing the code from my site (still using NVU) and have since lost the site I was referring to.

Has anyone got any ideas how I can make a simple playlist and have it as a "jukebox" on my site which people can click to play (so as not to annoy people in the library etc etc :-) )

I also tried Yagosta.com but that doesn't seem to work either the player is there but no music when I hit play.

Please help

x

You could compile your playlist in a music player like Winamp and save the playlist as M3U. Then open the playlist and change the file paths to URLs by hand.

Alternatively, you could use XSPF Web Music Player. It uses an XML playlist format that is easier to understand than M3U, plus there's a great deal of documentation on it on the net.
