falkencreative Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 By "qualifications", you mean school/college, right? I personally don't think there are any qualifications to work in the web design industry. What you do need, though, is the ability to be a self-starter and be self motivated, and a strong desire to learn (and to continue to learn over time, since the web industry is always changing). Having a mind that is naturally analytical and understands the logic behind code is helpful. If you won't have college classes to prove you know what you say you do, make sure you take whatever opportunities you can and that you have a high quality portfolio of work. Quote
linton Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 I think it depends on what you want to do with your education in general. You can look into the possibility of taking industry certification exams etc as you progress within the field if needed but your work will speak volumes for you at the end of the day. Ben's advice is great, you will need lots of time to play around with things and you can learn a lot without having to pay a lot. Quote

Davidsaga Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 Web design uses all the same elements as print design. You need to explore the space and layout, handle fonts and colors and put it all together in a format it puts your message across. This resources will help you learn Web design whether you are already a professional Web developer or just getting started in the Web arena. Thanks and Regards, David Quote
brainusa Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 (edited) Web design industries must require some effective qualification or some experience about web design to hire any person. If you have good knowledge about web design then no problem, you can surely get job into any web design company. Sometimes, many web design companies must require some level of educational qualification so, you must have to prove that you have strong programming skill.
