Possible yes, but you would not want to. Your server laptop would have to be on 24 hours a day 365 days a year. You would need back up power supplies in case it looses power, a backup server for backing it up or using to cover for it when updating the software and you would not want to work on it, leaving to only run the server. You would need a fixed IP from your host...

 

It is not worth it. Let the professionals host it.

I like to add to LSW list...

 

Security...security...security. Unless you are proficient in this area and don't mind the challenge of users trying to hack you, your best bet is to pay for a hosting account instead.

LOL - mine is hardly an all inclusive list, but yea, security should have been pointed out as it is a big enough issue. Thanks Eddie. unsure.gif
