Guest james heddie Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 How captchas work to increase signups? Do you think that captchas work to increase signup? Someone told me that we should use fun loving and pleasant captcha to our website so that users can take interest into registration to our website. Please let me know if you can help me with this. captcha code
LSW Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 I don't buy it, every one I have talked to find them to be pests, but necessary ones.
newseed Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 Captcha should be readable regardless how pretty it may be. The goal of the captcha is to eliminate spammers.
Andrea Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 Actually, guys, I think good ol' James Heddie is a captcha spammer: http://www.google.co...0e1d04ac32ef934 On the other hand, I've always wanted a fun loving captcha - I'd call him Sir Harold. 1
LSW Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 In theory he is; but his, I assume, spam link did not work. I figured it was worth the discussion. His other post did have a link which deleted, again it was worth a discussion for other beginners.
