Andrea Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 I just uploaded a slightly improved version of a site I did for a client years ago: http://tinyurl.com/4a4xydc - and I'm puzzled that despite my broad zero-setting of margins and padding, I find that things don't quite line up in some browsers. That's especially noticeable on the banner images. What am I not considering?
danhodge Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 They are all aligned for me... The only different i see is that the border is much bigger on Safari, and has a slight white line in the top left corner. Im not sure if this causes any slight size issues, but thats all i see
Susie Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Everything looks good for me, too. I checked in Firefox, IE, Opera, and Chrome. What specifically are you noticing?
Andrea Posted March 13, 2011 Author Report Posted March 13, 2011 Not noticing anything drastic now, but originally, I had placed those header banner images to work in FX, but when I looked at them in other browsers, some pushed them into 2 lines. I've since fiddled with the margins to make them acceptable in all the ones I checked - mainly, I'm surprised as I thought my global zero-setting did just that, but apparently, despite it, different browsers still display different dimensions differently.
