I'm hoping my issue is common to new web developers, but even if not i still need help.

 

I consider myself fairly experienced with CSS and HTML, im about halfway there right now, but my major issue is the actual design.

 

I draw out my website in a low amount of detail, then create it on that basis, with colors and styles labelled, however when it goes onto the computer, it never looks as good as i hope...

 

 

Is there any way to solve this issue?

Practice to be honest. Keep going. Design isn't my strong point either, i prefer and am better at the functionality more. But there are a number of good sites for design advice and tips and template sites are very good as well. I often look around for inspiration.

 

Download some free ones and see how they're put together, i find that helps as well
