virtual Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 I have just been asked to put an RSS feed on a client's website. However, when I saw the never ending list of rss feed directories I wondered if anyone here can recommend a good one. This is for a medical field website. Quote
virtual Posted February 11, 2011 Author Report Posted February 11, 2011 Anyone?? Ben or Stefan you have one here, who do you use? Quote
falkencreative Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 So are you needing something that will generate an RSS feed based on your client's content, or are you wanting to pull content from an outside source and display it in the site? Maybe I'm not understanding the question? Quote

falkencreative Posted February 12, 2011 Report Posted February 12, 2011 I've never needed to create an RSS feed manually -- I usually have Wordpress or the content management system I am using do that for me. You may want to check out http://profy.com/2007/09/30/7-tools-to-make-an-rss-feed-of-any-website/ and http://www.html2rss.com/. You can use PHP to generate RSS feeds, since an RSS feed is a simple XML file, but I don't have any experience with that at the moment. I'm sure you could find tutorials online though. Quote
virtual Posted February 12, 2011 Author Report Posted February 12, 2011 No Ben, I know how to make the xml file, that's easy. What I need to know is which feed aggregator to use and if there are any specific to the medical field. Quote

Not sure if I can help you here unfortunately. I'm not in the medical field, and I don't personally use feed aggregators. Quote
