Help with CSS for an h1?

Recommended Posts

Okay, for real. I am trying to change the font for the h1 on the single blog page for this site: http://tinyurl.com/4ax87xj

I've used firebug to try to figure this out, but I can't get it. Here's the code I'm trying to make work:

.single h1.entry-title {
color: #5c2c88;
font-family: 'Century Gothic', Arial, Sans-serif;
font-size: 16px;
font-weight: bold;
}

What am I missing????

Susan if you use !important it works....probably not what you were looking for, i just looked quickly I need to do a couple things and then I can look closer.

Thanks, Corinne! I went ahead and used !important (never thought of that!) so that it would display correctly.

Have you tried adjusting ".single h1.entry-title" to ".single #content h1.entry-title"? I think it may be a specificity issue, since a id (#content) is seen as more "important" than class, and thus has the potential to over-ride lesser styles.

Thanks, Ben! That did it. :) I was going crazy! I tried that, but had it in the wrong order. I was trying to make #content .single h1.entry-title work and it was NOT. lol Thanks again. :)
