Daniel93
Hi . . . I ready on line that some States say an email correspondence can be as good as a legal binding contract, even if it is not signed. Is that true?
newseed
Yes. You will need to check with your attorney about this for you state. I have seen emails that has a statement at the end of their email stating that their email communications are considered legal binding contract. EDIT: You can read a brief article: Email Agreement Edited December 18, 2010 by Eddie
falkencreative
I ready on line that some States say an email correspondence can be as good as a legal binding contract, even if it is not signed. Is that true? I've heard that too, though emails can be faked, and there is potential for increased miscommunication possible over email rather than an actual physical signature. I usually accept a basic statement of agreement for small projects, and request either a physical signature or web based signature (I've used http://www.echosign.com/ successfully in the past) for larger projects.
