the.shadw.dragn
Hey, i was just wondering how to make, for example, a left navigation div section, stick with the webpage as it expands and contracts. I simply gave it a specific height to fit the appropriate space and when i scroll in or out the page gets smaller but the left nav would keep its size. Thanks David Edited January 22, 2009 by the.shadw.dragn
Andrea
You mean width? If you want to keep things proportional, use % instead of px.
the.shadw.dragn
I suppose my question is how to make the left nav fit to the body (height wise) and have it consistantly resize with the page.
PicnicTutorials
Isn't that what you just said? I think your talking about positioned fixed - It stays in the same spot on the screen regardless.
kericr
Are you referring to having your menu div adjust in size dependant on the height of your content/stage/presentation div? If so, you might want to consider a 'faux-column' layout; a good site with code samples of this can be found at: http://www.code-sucks.com/css%20layouts/faux-css-layouts/.
