Linking back to HOME page

Hello,

 

I am new to DREAMWEAVER MX. I went through Stephan introductory videos. Quite good.

 

The problem I face is that I don't know the procedure of making the HOME page link with the other pages.

 

Anyone out there know which bottons to press?

You can do that in two ways:

 

-- In code view:

adding an <a> tag around the text/image you want to link: "<a href="the_file_to_link_to.html">Your Link Text/or image</a>"

 

-- or in design view, by selecting the text/image you want linked, and either going to Insert > Hyperlink, or entering in the page URL you want to link to in the "link" input box within the Properties Palette (which should be at the bottom of the screen)

Thanks. The html worked. After taking a good look at the CODE window I see it was identical to the other links. I really must start getting into html/css codes. Thanks again.

Even though you are using Dreamweaver, have a look at this website when you have a problem:-

You can give link back to hope page directly at the footer of Dreamweaver or add an href tag in the code of the design. The tag is

 

<a href="www.mywebsite.com">my website</a>
